The following are some of the industries and entities that Edgin, Parkman, Fleming & Fleming, PC (EPFF) serves.

Governmental

EPFF has developed a practice where we serve a multitude of governmental clients. We provide audit and other services to governmental entities and have devoted significant resources to keep up to speed in this ever changing area to allow us to successfully staff these engagements. EPFF is a member of the Government Audit Quality Center (GAQC). The GAQC was established to promote the quality of governmental audits. Members of the audit team will have a good understanding of the audit standards and procedures applicable to governmental entities. We serve several municipalities, counties, appraisal districts, councils of government, water districts, and others. Our staff involved in these engagements spend time on an ongoing basis to be aware of new laws and developments impacting these governmental entities.

School Districts & ESCs

EPFF has extensive experience in audits of Texas Independent School Districts and Regional Education Service Centers, as well as other governmental entities. The Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) accounting and compliance requirements are complex and detailed in nature, and we have staff with knowledge to address all of the details and help with issues or questions that may arise. All our audits are under the direct supervision of a partner. Members of the audit team will have varied experience and a good understanding of auditing standards and procedures applicable to your District or Center. Our firm policy is that each professional staff member complete at least 40 hours of continuing professional education annually. All staff members involved in governmental auditing must complete at least 24 hours applicable to governmental matters every two years. Our firm attends the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountant’s (TSCPA) Annual Texas School District Accounting and Auditing Conference, along with other specific courses tailored to meet the demanding requirements of TEA and the Uniform Guidance.

Not-For-Profit

EPFF serves many clients in the not-for-profit area – clients that benefit Wichita Falls and other communities in significant ways. We know that these organizations receive funding from donors and others that is vital to them being able to continue providing their needed services. Sound financial management is important to them, and we strive to have significant experience in this area so that the staff involved in the engagement are knowledgeable about the issues that impact these organizations.
